Business Immigration Legal Director/Partner

Full Time, Legal Vacancy In

Are you a highly motivated and experienced immigration lawyer, keen to take on an exciting new role with a market-leading firm?

My client is a very well-established and highly-regarded commercial practice regularly recognised by the legal press and independent experts as a leader in its field, both in terms of the technical skills on offer and the ethos of the firm as an employer.

The firm, which has continued to thrive and expand considerably over the last few years, is now on the look-out for an experienced immigration lawyer to join the team and head up this practice area, taking some of the corporate immigration matters from the employment team and building it up into a stand-alone entity.

You will have a great opportunity to tap into a well-established client base of PLCs, SMEs and bluechips which the firm currently acts for across areas such as corporate, commercial, real estate, IP and employment, and will be able to cross-sell immigration services into these clients whilst also supplementing the client base with your own contacts and connections. As you will be the senior figurehead within the team this is a great opportunity to build up the business immigration offering in the way you see best and without supervision, so it is naturally anticipated that you will be able to work independently and be comfortable dealing with a caseload comprising, inter alia:

* Skilled worker visas, innovator visas, extensions of stay and settlement, family visas and leave to remain, as well as visa advice to international clients seeking to come to the UK

* Certificate of sponsorship applications

* Training clients on sponsor licence responsibilities, right to work checks, best recruitment policies and compliance issues/audits

* Providing corporate support on transactions including due diligence from an immigration perspective and advising on sponsorship/right to work implications

* Immigration enforcement

* British citizenship applications

Due to the requirement to work autonomously you will likely have accrued circa 7+ years PQE or equivalent within the corporate immigration field and will have a demonstrable track record of advising business clients on matters of the nature indicated above. A client following is not a prerequisite although would be welcomed, whilst a desire to engage in cross-selling and business development initiatives is a must.

Remuneration is highly competitive and the firm is also able to offer plenty of flexibility around hybrid/home working, although you will need to attend the office around once a week including client or departmental meetings, so candidates within the Midlands, Northern Home Counties or East Anglia areas are likely to be most interested.

To discuss this position in more detail call Greg Reid at Price Richardson or forward your CV in absolute confidence, either directly via the Price Richardson website or using the ‘apply’ link.

Price Richardson is a leading provider of retained search and recruitment services exclusively to the legal profession. Working primarily on senior level and partner hires, our experience at the top end of the market sets us apart as a recruiter of choice for top tier firms across the UK.

Price Richardson is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.

Where PQE is referred to this should be taken as indicative only and does not preclude applicants with other levels of experience who can display the necessary skill-set and supervisory requirements from being considered
