Business Resilience Business Partner
Overall Purpose:
* To provide technical knowledge, specialist expertise and advice to functions, programmes, project teams on matters relating to Business Continuity.
* Acting as a Business Continuity Adviser, championing and sharing best practice across UKAEA embedding and championing business continuity within programmes and projects, through greater levels of resilience capabilities, awareness and understanding.
* Acting as an SME on diverse and wide-ranging projects.
* Acting as a champion to advocate, promote and leverage business resilience investment and prioritisation in programmes and projects.
Accountabilities:
* Assess the impact of the HMG functional security standard 007 and the HM Government standards and other related business continuity requirements on UKAEA programmes, projects, built environment and infrastructure and ensure that documentation, processes and procedures and arrangements reflect those requirements.
* Identify emerging risks and threats pertaining to business continuity and monitor changes to the risk and threat environment, develop and implement mitigations and advise on any appropriate mitigations, Input to and support risk registers liaising with risk owners as appropriate.
* Review, exercise, and test business continuity arrangements ensuring programme and project preparedness for business continuity risks and threats liaising with the Business Resilience Manager and business units as appropriate.
* Liaise with IT services regarding information technology and operational technology service continuity.
* Networking within the Business Continuity community such as, attendance at forums, working groups etc.
Specific Qualifications/Experience:
* Minimum educational requirement of a degree ideally in a business resilience discipline (e.g., business continuity, emergency planning, security risk management) is preferred, however relevant work experience in law enforcement, military or critical national infrastructure would also be accepted.
* Proven experience / track record in a business continuity role ideally in a technical or scientific setting.
* Experience of the civil nuclear industry and or critical national infrastructure is desirable with a balance of business acumen and technical knowledge.
* Knowledge of business continuity standards and requirements.
* To hold or be able to achieve an SC security clearance. An offer for this role is conditional on achieving an SC clearance.
* Strong proven leadership, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and through the production of written reports.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships to be developed with people in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility
