Job title: Employment Solicitor
Location: Central London
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000
The Role
The role involves advising on a wide range of employment issues, undertaking both contentious and non-contentious work. Responsibilities include:
– Reorganisations
– Disciplinaries and grievances
– M&A transactional work, due diligence, and corporate support
– Drafting employment contracts, staff handbooks, consultancy agreements, NDAs, settlement agreements, etc.
– TUPE
– Employment status
– Day-to-day advice on employment law issues
– Tribunal / Court work
– Some experience with the Employment Tribunal process
Essential Experience:
– Experience in advising employer clients is essential.
– Experience in advising individual clients is helpful.
– Ability to make decisions, advise clients, and act with a degree of autonomy (with appropriate support).
The ideal candidate will:
– Have both contentious and non-contentious experience.
– Have experience acting for both employers and senior employees.
– Possess strong academics.
– Have high-quality training and experience.
– Be ambitious, technically strong, hard-working, and a good team player.
– Be confident and sociable, as well as discrete when dealing directly with clients.
