I am working with a fantastic client of mine to recruit a Facilities Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to take on the three office sites across Birmingham and manage a team.


Manage a team of 8 across multiple sites
Ensure clients are provided with an excellent level of service when calling or visiting our offices.
Overall responsibility for building management & maintenance
Develop building plans, outlining strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs and forecasting the facility's future needs.
Manage day-to-day relationship with landlords, utility providers, cleaners, catering, and other suppliers.
Review and manage contracts with suppliers.
Support Directors on reviewing insurance related to buildings.
Contributing to disaster recovery plans and ensuring plans are in place to deal with unforeseen incidents.
Manage office space and allocate according to needs.
Oversee any desk moves and office moves
Participate in Health & Safety committee meetings and oversee day-to-day health & safety requirements for each office. Ensure emergency plans are up to date and adequate numbers of first aiders and fire marshals are in place.

Skills and experience

Experience of all aspects of people management, including performance management, sickness absence, disciplinary, capability, etc.
Proven ability to manage and negotiate new contracts with suppliers.
Ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving measures.
Good understanding of current building, health and safety regulations
