A qualified Family or Childcare solicitor or Legal Executive is the prference here as the firm likes their staff to attend court and also it helps when signing off files, however applications from experienced paralegals could also be considered. The role would suit someone at NQ-3 years PQE ideally to fit in with the team structure however all levels will be considered , especially if you were happy to fit in with an associuare level salary.
You could have come from an exclusively privately funded background or an exclusively legal aid background. That's fine as far as the firm are concerned as longas you are happy to cover both sides moving forward – including childcare and guardian work. Targets are amended accordingly given the differences in charging clients.
