Yolk Recruitment is delighted to assist an award winning legal firm in Cheltenham in their quest for an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join their thriving team. Our client is growing and expanding, and they're on the lookout for an experienced Property Lawyer/Solicitor to join their dynamic team. They want someone truly passionate and self-motivated who can contribute to the business's ongoing success.
The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance and support across all transactional teams. They will help develop the technical skills of the staff, ensuring compliance with trade standards and SRA regulations. They'll improve quality control systems and introduce a peer-to-peer review process. Leading a team of qualified and qualifying lawyers, they will help them achieve their career goals. Attending trade seminars and events, they will build a profile as a leading technical expert. They will also drive the growth of the sale and purchase business and collaborate with the IT team on developing the case management system to support sale and purchase work.
This is what you'll be doing
As Head of Conveyancing, your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-
Leading and managing teams to deliver exceptional service in prime property transactions.
Oversee team performance, playing a key role in achieving the firm's ambitious growth goals.
Collaborate with Team Leaders, reporting directly to the Managing Partner, and become an integral part of the Management Board.
Strike a balance between delivering outstanding client service and prioritising the well being of the dedicated team.The experience you'll bring to the team
At least 5 years of experience managing a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
Extensive knowledge and experience in residential conveyancing, including: Handling a full range of sale, purchase, and remortgage matters.
Expertise in leasehold and lease extension work.
Understanding of SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions in residential conveyancing.
Experience dealing with unregistered properties.
Strong team management skills with a proven ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.
