Sue Ross Legal are working with a specialist law firm in Sheffield for the recruitment of a Senior Associate/Immigration Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to join a world-leading immigration firm and work with some of the best professionals in the field.
The successful candidate will be joining a diverse legal team with experienced Senior Associates, Associates, Senior Paralegals and Paralegals. The role includes the opportunity to work directly with some key global corporate accounts, as well as to develop your own portfolio of accounts and private-client work. In addition to transactional work, the role involves helping to develop strategy for client portfolios, and the opportunity to participate in business-development activities.
As a senior Associates/ Immigration Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting Managers with the successful delivery of the team’s output of work, reporting in most cases to the Manager responsible for the team. This includes assisting with supervision and management of the team; leading on complex applications, allocating work in the team, monitoring workflows, day-to-day liaison with clients, supervision on the preparation of applications, acting as first point of contact for technical advice and/or escalations and reporting on the performance of the team, as well as proactively formulating solutions.
You will identify training and development needs for other team members and suggest development outcomes to the Manager of the team. The Senior Associate / Immigration Supervisor will act as a role model for more junior members of staff, assisting them to develop their core competencies.
Other key responsibilities:
* Work on client projects and support Partners and Managers on complex technical and cross border projects, as necessary.
* Assist with data, analytics and reporting including developing and maintaining project plans.
* Prepare and deliver client presentations and best practice sessions.
* Provide legal advice and strategic advice relating to service delivery and immigration compliance.
* Responsible for achieving billing targets.
* Provide support for Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews.
* Responsible for driving consistency in service delivery across client accounts through supporting team and global leads, while ensuring local adaptability is achieved.
To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with a current practicing certificate.
The successful applicant for this role must have at least four years’ immigration experience at the Senior Consultant level would also be considered. The ideal candidate will have worked with corporate and private clients, advising on corporate immigration matters.
