My client is a niche law firm, who specialise in high-quality legal services and is looking for a Legal Secretary – Immigration to join their successful team. The successful candidate will ideally possess a good working knowledge of the Immigration department and procedures and, relevant legal secretarial experience and a track record to demonstrate this.

Duties and responsibilities of the Legal Secretary – Immigration:
The applicant must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

A strong interest in immigration law
Assisting fee earners with the conduct of their cases including liaising with clients directly
Reviewing documents, analysing and summarising simple legal issues and preparing application bundles
Completing online application forms and submitting applications with clients, and booking their biometric appointments at the appropriate visa centres
Uploading client documents to the UKVI’s commercial online portals
Liaising with counsel’s clerks regarding fees and booking counsel for conferences
Taking witness statements and drafting legal documents under supervision
Answering the reception phone and taking basic details for new enquiries
