Legal Secretary/Personal Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £28,000

Cordius are assisting a leading Manchester law firm who are recognised in the Legal 500 and due to recent acquisition now a top 100 firm. Specialising within personal injury and clinical negligence, this firm is looking to recruit Legal Secretaries/Personal Assistants to strengthen their departments.

Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

* Providing one to one administrative and secretarial support to a Senior Solicitor within the Personal Injury or Clinical negligence department

* Managing their diary, setting up meetings, and making necessary travel arrangements

* Digital dictation, generating third party correspondence, emails, and Court documents

* Liaising directly with clients, their families, and various other professionals

* Preparing electronic trial bundles and collating necessary enclosures

* Providing ad hoc administrative and typing support to a small team of Assistant Solicitors

Skills/Knowledge, Abilities and Personal Attributes Required:

* Experience working in the capacity of a Legal Secretary/Personal Assistant

* Experience working within the relevant department is preferred

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to take responsibility and work on their own initiative, as well as under the instruction of the Senior Solicitor
