Legal Secretary – Residential Conveyancing

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary to support a busy Residential Conveyancing team of a forward-thinking, award-winning, law firm based in Coventry City Centre.
This is an opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive environment with a well-established, Lexcel and CQS accredited, Legal 500-recognised law firm, who are a key employer of choice in the Coventry area. The firm are very committed to training and development of all staff to gain industry-specific qualifications and progress their legal careers.
The position will involve:
Supporting the Residential Conveyancing team with sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
Taking instructions from clients and preparing detailed attendance notes
Preparing and reviewing contracts and supporting title documentation
Initiating and reviewing searches
Dealing with pre-contract enquiries
Drafting of documents, letters, and reports
Preparing and updating completion statements
Processing exchange of contracts and post completion documentation
Preparing and submitting SDLT forms
General administrative dutiesSuitable candidates will be
Experienced in supporting a residential conveyancing team with all aspects of the conveyancing process This is a permanent position. Hybrid and flexible working opportunities will be considered for suitably experienced candidates following an initial training period.
