Litigation Assistant – Part-Time – 3 days a week – £30000 – £45000
My client based in Nottingham city centre is looking to expand their litigation team and are seeking support to the Legal Team and Head of Litigation. Working Part-Time for 3 days a week, hours flexible two days in the office and one at home.
Ideal candidate either – A Litigation lawyer or Assistant or a Solicitor or with the Ilex or Filex qualification or Legal Executive or Law Degree with an understanding of Contract Law
The Successful Candidate Will: –
Have a good understanding of debt recovery processes in both commercial/consumer debt sectors including knowledge of the litigation processes from issuing claims through to varying enforcement methods, ideally with 5 years minimum experience. They will also have excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, FCA regulations, DPA and Ofcom guidelines gained from previously working in a Debt Collection Agency, law firm or Financial services environment. Excellent knowledge of contract law is essential.
The Role Involves:
Working as part of a team to process litigation cases within set SLA’s including processing of defended claims.
Reviewing defences, drafting Letters of Claim, Claim Forms, Particulars of Claim, Judgment requests, Interim Applications, Witness Statements, instructions to Agents or Counsel, undertaking reviews of facts and legal issues and advice to clients
Preparing statutory demands, preparing bankruptcy and winding up petitions and preparation for final hearing
Corresponding with clients via telephone and email and dealing with correspondence in accordance with client SLA’s and continue to build strong client relationships.
Assisting the Head of Litigation by undertaking research and providing and assistance where required.
