Risk and Compliance Assistant

LHH are working with an exciting expanding law firm based in London who are looking to expand their Compliance Team. They are looking for a bright, energetic and enthusiastic candidate who has the ability to work under pressure but also maintain good attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the firms AML/CDD checks for new clients and where necessary conduct searches by carrying out AML electronic AML checks.
Assist with complaints from clients
Maintaining and updating risk registers, confidentially beaches, compliance with Legal Ombudsman awards
Providing general risk and compliance advice to members of the firm
Assisting the Head of Risk with the preparation of formal reports
Skills and experience required for this role
Previous relevant experience and understanding of risk and compliance
Knowledge of the law, regulation and professional standards applicable to a law firm
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel. Comfortable working with case management and database systems
